090118 September Archi-scraps Challenge + WM#278

Gaudi Tile Mosaic Fruit Spire, Sagrada Familia, Barcelona
This month's Archi-scrap challenge is to feature fruit in your entry somehow.
(This reminds me of those oranges with cloves stuck in them at Christmas time!)

I ran across some apple product in my stash. Inspired by the little title card & the FAB photo (a total fave) of my hunky husband, I made this page.

The journaling comes from lyrics from "our song" from our high school dating days.
Still feel the same after 45 years later <3

And that makes this another perfect double challenge layout!
My take on the Whimsical Musings #278 be inspired by romance.

082818 Whimsical Musings #297

WM#297 Be inzpired by thiz cover
At first I was a little stumped, so I made a little breakdown of the elements:
half & half L/R color spray, large title in middle of representative geometric shape, journaling bottom left, embelli bottom right, 3rd triangle spot top left (star on example), pp strip on left margin…

Then I ran acrozz thiz page on Pinterezt:

HERE
I knew I wanted to scrap some general summer grands pics & thought this would be adorable!

I busted out some supplies along the way.

My base papers are Felicity Jane in the inspiration colors. I left the
branding strip on the minty background paper to mimic the strip on the side.

I had no stories so my journaling came from the chipboard phrases, which I
purposefully chose for each of the photos & the final phrase for the overall page.

I decorated the large black title with some cute little puffy bees. So much fun!
Glad for this Whimsical Musings inspiration so I could document their summer cuteness.

082718 WM#293 White Nights

For this prompt, Lisa has challenged us to be inspired by the Summer Solstice, more particularly,

"...the phenomenon of 'white nights' is something that I find fascinating.
Nights that don't turn dark - or just for a few hours only."

Background map paper is 2013 Echo Park/Reflections "Cherish the Moment"

I am blessed to live in a Northern location & experience this to a degree.
I searched for the specific data that goes with this photo & discovered
that the Farmer's Almanac chronicles not just the official sunrise/sunset times
but also "dark descends" & "dawn breaks"! That is what I was searching for.

Whimsical Musings has been inspiring me for many years.
I hope that you will take advantage of over 300 (!) challenge prompts that will
help you tell your story more completely, more intimately, and more creatively.
