Today's Counterfeit Kit August Challenge #1
Challenge

Use WHITE as your background on your project.
Just
plain white.
You can use what ever colors/papers from your kit to
go on top, but the background paper must be white.

I was so happy to get this challenge!
I have had some amazing photos ready to scrap that will work so well with this.
First I layered a vertical strip of this (?) woodgrain transparency overlay
pic
Then I made a collage of the photos I wanted to use. Aren't they adorable?
Then I sifted through my kit goodies for navy items to audition.
I had thought I would be using my orange paper but that didn't make the cut.
My original inspiration was this yummy from Valerie Oullett, but then I decided
that my photos would disappear. I still liked the vertical orientation.
Love how much texture & interest that simple overlay adds!
Hope you were inspired :-)
Make sure to add your project to the Linky!

DeleteThe ferret/weasel was from Bethany's challenge post :)
DeleteThat overlay really does drawn you immediately in to those photos. I like the minimal look too - it really keeps the focus on those two handsome little guys!
ReplyDeleteLove the way the hugging photo is highlighted. Beautifully presented layout that allows the photos to shine.
ReplyDeleteIt's all you but not, both at the same time! I love it. Great simple look although with different photos, I think you would ROCK the other layout design with all that touchy feely messy stuff! I'd love to see a more literal take on that one too :-)
