Here in the U.S. it's Independence Day!
We will be at a small town parade & barbecue nearby where my daughter lives,
but I'm delighted that you stopped in for some forgery help.
I tackled a few of the papers first (as usual)
The kit had the two lace papers on the left - mine are on the right.
I used this Basic Gray throwback paper - Aged & Confused Sublime/Raspberry Blue.
Misted with Dylusions White Linen Ink Spray over a Prima floral stencil.
The white lace forgery was simply an ANCIENT Martha Stewart overlay on cardstock!
Forging isn't always labor intensive or needful of a slew of supplies, it's breaking down the inspiration into an element that speaks to you & works with what you have on hand.
Our goal is to motivate you to use up all the goodies in your stash by seeing them in a new light.
Next were some Project Life-style cards.

See the little "LOVE" one?
I couldn't get a larger image, but you can see the inspiration in mine.
There was one little floral accent in the "O".
I have a beautiful alpha stamp set in my kit that made this special.
Here are all of the cards:
The love birds, top left, are some Little Yellow Bicycle canvas stickers
spritzed with a teal, blue & white Dylusions ink mist.
Then I stamped a few details - makes me happy!
I mopped up the leftover ink with some 3x5" graph grid cards.
I used one with some chipboard butterflies.

I had a lot of fun with these.
I think I'll be doing these as a regular part of my kits.

ReplyDeleteSuch brilliant ideas! Never thought of using overlays! Loved the effect of the dylusions ink on the cards.
ReplyDeleteYou totally could and should be designing for a company. These forgeries are fabulous. Each of those PL cards are so inspired. Thank you for opening our eyes to the possibilities. xoxo
ReplyDeleteyou think of all the little details and go to town on making them into a reality! I love it :-) You still have the crown :-)
ReplyDeleteYou are so good at this! Those project life cards are just amazing and it sounds like you really enjoy putting them together. Sometimes the smaller canvas can be a lot more fun!
