TOTAL GENIUS!
Who could help but be uber-inspired?
And being the over-achiever that I can sometimes be,
I set out to lift THEM ALL!
Let's just take them in the order they appear above...
Angela's page inspired me with the gorgeous yellow patterned cross in the background.
I knew I had what I thought was a large rub-on design that was similar.
Turned out it was an iron-on so I grabbed some Ranger Sticky Back Canvas.
Ahhh! I just noticed I have the word "this" on there twice! Easily fixed...
Next up is Ashley's page.
This was a really simple inspiration as I had made a paper for my kit out of chevron washi!
On to Dawn!
The banner...the twine..the layers...
just made me happy!
Jemma's clever circles were perfect...
...with this TOTALLY ADORABLE photo of Chloe!
Julene inspired me to hunt up my modeling paste...
...especially helpful as my kit was pretty lean at this point!
(Isn't my Prima stencil lovely?)
(Isn't my Prima stencil lovely?)
LesleyG had a page that I thought would be great for the bottom of the Magic Blue Box.
Lisa has been inspiring me for almost 3 years now!
This page is perfect for Chloe's first birthday retrospective.
This one was tailor-made for these photos of Lincoln.
Milissa had this huge circular element on her page background...
...that I turned into a star.
Stephanie's page was just the right thing for Lincoln's first homemade popsicle.
WHEW! That was PERFECT to help me scrap my way through my kit this month!
Now go check in with MAGGIE for some more inspiring scrappy goodness :~)
WOW WOW WOW, you have been busy - I think my favourite is the popsicle one at the end, so colourful and the photos are just great :)
ReplyDeleteThanks! I love how that one turned out:~)
DeleteTONS of inspiration on everyone's blogs!
what a feast for the eyes! great stuff... I am continuing on the hop, but will be back later for a closer look! jenx
ReplyDeleteThanks! My Flickr photostream is a little better look if you'd like, here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/lcsmithsaved/ Now I'm on to the hop!
DeleteWow how busy have you been! Great pages
ReplyDeleteThanks, Heidi!
DeleteYou're AMAZING ! Gorgeous layouts, my favorite is the red and black one : fabulous ! I love how you used your kit with handmade papers, great job, very inspiring !
ReplyDeleteThanks! I had decided to only use white, black or kraft backgrounds. I was surprised at how much I kept to my kit contents - I barely supplemented any of the pages.I thought the red & black, esp with the polka dots, had a little Minnie Mouse whimsy to it :~)
DeleteWOW! You have been super busy. I love them all! But I especially like the one with modeling paste.
ReplyDeleteThanks,Chipper! I have only tried it once before and it was a disaster (I tried to make an embelli using a cookie press - it never did come out, lol!)
DeleteWOW :-o
ReplyDeleteAmazing pages - all fabby in their own ways - and I find it SO funny that I lifted a page you'd lifted (and I think I see some more lifts of lifts in your inspiration pages too!)
GREAT counterfeiting Leslie!
When I went back to grab the links, I realized that some of what I chose were already lifted! It was a great challenge :~)
DeleteI cannot believe that you did them all, a maz ing!
ReplyDeleteThey are all fabulous but I love Captain America the most. Well done.
I love that one, too! Funny how the ones that are the most challenging by trying to stay within your kit turn out to be the most creative - that's what I love about using my CKC kits :~)
DeleteBrilliant.. I love the baby one best! Well done!
ReplyDeleteThanks! It really was fun :~)
DeleteFrom one über-achiever to another - you totally rocked this challenge. Awesome that you made a layout from each of us! You are so amazing and very inspirational.
ReplyDeleteIt truly was FUN! I found it impossible to choose just one person :~)
DeleteWOW! That was the perfect way to get use out of your kit; why didn't I think of that?? (I may go back and lift that idea tonight).. I would write a paragraph with all that I loved but what I want is a quick note to tell me how you used that Prima stencil; I so loved that and have that same stencil! ALso, your Captain America is adorable! btw, you were pretty inspiring to us along this hop too if you noticed :):)
ReplyDeleteThanks! Would LOVE to hear your comments, but it would probably be easier on my Flickr stream at http://www.flickr.com/photos/lcsmithsaved/
DeleteThe stencil was done on a piece of black cardstock with modeling paste. I just held the stencil down & scooped up some paste with an old credit card & kept smoothing it in until I got it fairly even. That large empty space was hard to make even so I decided to live with the "seam" thru the middle.
I decided to try some gelatos on here, so I scribbled layers of color similar to the photo, and then misted them with water to blend, which promptly removed all the pigment, lol! The paste really does have kind of a plastic finish to it. Reapplied the color & used a kleenex to blend by buffing the pigments - it took a couple of layers.
I think that I might try something like this again using gesso...
Okay! Off to check out the rest of the hop! Thx again for looking :~)
I love the way the inspiration just keeps going round and round. You are amazing to highlight and showcase each one of us. Although very hard to choose, my fave would have to be of Chloe. Those polka dots just rock.
ReplyDeletewait...but then there's the Lincoln popsicle one. Never mind...I can't pick a fave. I love them all. xoxo
ReplyDeletehahaha - I know! I had a blast - what a source of inspiration!
DeleteFabulous job! I don't think I can pick a favorite!
ReplyDeleteWOW!!! You were certainly one busy scrapper! I'm glad you were inspired by my birthday cake page and I love your take on it. That paper with the neon camera is amazing.
ReplyDeletewow you've had a fabulous scrappy month doing all of those, all your lifts are incredible.
ReplyDeleteBlessings to you from Angela
Wow! Talk about finding lots of inspiration! Great job on all your pages!
ReplyDeleteMy goodness you were busy. All of them are fabulous. I'm glad I inspired you to get out the modelling paste and that page is perfect.
