How delightful!
An old friend of ours at CKC, Susanne returns this month as our featured Guest Designer.
Our inspiration kit for February over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog comes with
a little foreign flavor from Kitsdesomni.com and actually includes two complete
kits plus a Project Life add-on kit (shown on the website.)

There are lots of GREAT designs to forge this month, so be SURE to tune in to the regular
monthly tutorial post "Hey!...I Can Make THAT!" featured at CKC on the 8th of each month.
Both kits included lots of hearts, as it is Valentine's Day month, but not many (any?) flowers.
I am really missing floral patterns in the current trend of geometrics & highly graphic designs,
so I'm doing my own rebel change up of this kit. First step is to replace those hearts with STARS!
Now let's see what's in the Magic Blue Box...
Now let's see what's in the Magic Blue Box...
As usual I really love starting off with the papers & used some from both kits for inspiration.
top: Dear Lizzy Lucky Charm/Lucky Lady Bug vellum w/forged detail, forged hidden message, Pebbles From Me to You/Ring Ring Ding Dong, unknown chevron w/forged detail, Crate Paper Maggie Holmes/Wonderful, MME Bramble Rose wood planks, MME Chalkboard w/forgery.
bottom: MME Chalkboard, Echo Park Photo Freedom #1/Everyday Moments, American Crafts Dear Lizzy arrows, Studio Calico PrintShop!/Criss-cross, American Crafts Dear Lizzy triangles, Pebbles From Me to You/Letters (B side), Basic Gray Soleil/Bikini.
As always I give myself permission to use white/black/kraft cardstock.
I may attempt a few more forgeries along the way, particularly the painted (in my case) stars.
Here is the full Starstruck kit:
One of my favorite pieces of my kit are the French wood veneers recently sent by a
generous friend - totally in keeping with the foreign word stamps in the Project Life kit
Starstruck, up close:
Looking forward to having LOADs of fun this month doing LayOutADay.
And of course we have some wonderful CKC challenges coming up as well!
Now, don't miss a thing in the kit reveal hop - hop straight over to Lynnette's link and
enjoy her creative presentation of her kit. It is always a highlight of the hop :~)

ReplyDeleteLovely kit, enjoy :)
A bright and colourful kit but a very BIG one.Good luck!!!
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love!!! Especially the stitched stars. And your die cuts are to die for. Good luck with LOAD. I will be watching for you on the photostream.
ReplyDeleteI love the way you make the inspiration work for you. The vintage charm along with some modern details creates a kit that is so YOU! Love that gumball machine and ball jar. Such a feast for the eyes! Xo
ReplyDeleteLove Love Love your mix! Like that your combining both kits (inspiration for me that is what I wanted to do and wasn't sure about). Scrumptious embellishments too. Looking forward to seeing what you create from this kit :)
ReplyDeleteFrench wood veneer?? Oh my goodness, I NEED that!!! I'm always on the lookout for French stuff! Fabulous kit this month, I can't wait to see your layouts
ReplyDeleteHow cute is this entire kit!?!?! You have given it a vintage flair while still staying true to the original feel of the inspiration kit. Very clever!
ReplyDeleteWow, what a mega kit that is!! I'm surprised that it fits in a single blue box. I see some papers in there that I have too - but your mix certainly makes me see them in a new light. Have fun digging in! We'll have fun watching you scrap it!
ReplyDeleteVery nice! Love all those embellies in your kit :)
ReplyDeleteSo much LOVEliness in your kit (without hearts LOL) - love the veneers especially! Clever idea to leave the stars loose - I might have to make some more!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea to combine them and the pike of embellies is stunning. Great job and so very you!
ReplyDeleteWow, love all the embellishments - I will be counterfeiting your stars. Looking forward to seeing your creations
