010119 CKC January Kit Reveal

Are you ready for it?!?
Master Forger Susan has given us a sweet inspiration this month - say "Hello" to Hannah, Felicity Jane's mascot for their wonderful October collection.
BUT FIRST, let me introduce you to our first Guest Designer of the new year - The Practical Scrapper - Meagan Johnson!

I have been a traditional scrapbooker since 2002. I love recording my family’s memories and hoarding my stacks and stacks of supplies. I discovered the Counterfeit Kit Challenge in September of 2018 and have loved the opportunity to see my older supplies used in fun new ways!

Meagan has a blog here and you can also find her on Instagram here.

Now let's take a look at our inspiration kit:
Felicity Jane October 2018 Hannah kit
Such a light & airy feel to this kit, tempered by the unusual colour scheme. Here's a LINK for Crafty Jenn Schow's unboxing video for a better look. As always, I looked to the papers first.

Theirs:
Multi-colored floral, large random circles, dark woodgrain, scallop, pink diagonal stripe, grid, chevron, large sentiment, graphic pattern, stripe, large scallop, polka dot (or so I thought.)

Mine:

2017 Pink Fresh Studio Let Your Heart Decide/"Impulse", forgery, 2016 Felicity Jane Emeline/ woodgrain, 2017 Felicity Jane Jane/scallop, 2016 Felicity Jane Felicity/pink diagonal stripe, 2016 Felicity Jane Felicity/pink woven texture, 2018 Authentique Quest/Quest Three, forgery, 2017 Pink Fresh Studio Let Your Heart Decide/Caper, 2017 Pink Fresh Studio Live More/Journey, Pink Fresh Studio Let Your Heart Decide/Whim, Carta Bella Our House/Apple Pie.

I came up empty-handed of any patterned paper with maroon for my feature paper but I love what I put together. I did have the advantage of a robust Felicity Jane stash but a handful of the papers are Pink Fresh. I added a little more color & texture than the inspiration kit afforded but kept to my analysis of their papers. Let's open the Magic Blue Box & take a look at the rest of my

"Worry Less Pray More" January kit!

Don't miss any stops on the blog hop:
Can't wait to see what you create! And if you're stumped come back on Friday for our Forgery on the Fourth feature, showing you how the Master Forgers made their own version of elements from the inspiration kit!

Be sure to share your own crafty creations using the Link-Up page here on the blog, posting in the Counterfeit Kit Challenge Facebook Community Group or on Instagram (find us @counterfeitkitchallenge and share with #counterfeitkitchallenge)

Thanks for stopping by!

  3. As usual, you nailed it. Lovely coordinated kit!! Since I just received a FJ surprise box from Santa, I may have to see if I can pull from that, my own "robust Felicty Jane stash" not to mention the Pink Fresh papers I have set aside in my stack of 100. Don't be surprised if your copy gets copied.

  4. Oh my! This is just a darling kit! I enjoyed your paper-by-paper comparison and can definitely relate to the concept of a "robust" Felicity Jane stash. And your embellishments definitely captured the delicate FJ aesthetic as well.

    1. Thanks! That washi matches the Kaisercraft diecut at the top of the embellis! I think they must make an appearance this month.

  11. Leslie: You've put together a fantastic kit!!! No prayers needed on whether or not you've reflected the FJ kit with your own supplies! :) Love your theme direction, too! Kudos!

  12. You rocked the inspiration kit this month! If I look at the kit, it looks a little different from your usual but yet again, it's all you! I love that you also included Pinkfresh (me too) but I don't have any FJ which makes me sad (too much postage :-( )

You have made such a wonderful kit, I'm jealous!
