This was the intro for this month's kit
The Confidence Kit from Scrapbooking From The Inside Out:
The Confidence Kit from Scrapbooking From The Inside Out:
I was worried from the get-go about the color scheme but decided to press on.
My first direction was to embrace the blue & red, turn the tan/browns into yellow,
but my stash did not cooperate in turning up the types of papers in the inspiration kit.
I was a tad dismayed - the harder I tried to pull papers the more of a jumble I had!
I began to pull other accents & embellis, thinking that the papers could come later.
That didn't work either... I wanted a kit I was excited to scrap with, so I went rogue.
Rogue with a focus & a plan...
Breaking down the inspiration papers:
Top row (L-R): large pattern/light background, small/dark, large/dark, small/light
Bottom row: chevron/convo bubbles, light blue, horizontal, b/w, red polka dot
First I made this forgery!
Be still my heart!
Adding the pink to the red & blue made me SO happy :~)

First I made this forgery!
Tidying up my happy scrappy place yielded my color inspiration!
Adding the pink to the red & blue made me SO happy :~)
The main accent elements in the kit were
Project Life-style cards & journaling blocks & polaroids...
...so I gathered up some 6x6 papers,
a variety of stamps & alphas, paints & pens...
Now let's open the Magic Blue Box!

wowzers! your kit is absolutely awesome.
ReplyDeleteI'm feeling a lot of layered pages coming on :~)
DeleteYour kits (and layouts for that matter) are always such a feast for the eyes. You have so many interesting bits and bobs. Love the triangle banner I spied at the top and the wooden doily element to name just two things. I could go on and on, but then I'd never finish the hop! Glad you were able to create something you love...can't wait to see your creations.
ReplyDeleteThanks, good buddy :~)
DeleteLooking forward to some creative madness this month!
Oh woweee what a stash! I have that camera paper too so might "borrow" that idea. Looking forward to see your creations.
ReplyDeletePlease do borrow! I had a bite out of the bottom, so I had to do a little repair! I like it tons better than the original :~)
Deletelikey
ReplyDeleteThanky! :~)
DeleteYour forgery paper is magnificent. That little wooden doily is too cute. But then again, your whole kit is adorable and I can't wait to see what lovelies you make from this!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I forgot the little piece of washi, though, on the paper :~(
DeleteExcited to scrap this month!
Wowee! A huge kit.. and I love the magic blue box idea too! I use a vinyl sleeve but it's never big enough for all the embellishments, ink-pads etc too.
ReplyDeleteI love having it all in one box so I can ferry it downstairs from my happy scrappy place if necessary. It also makes a cute part of the reveal every month!
DeleteOh wow looks like you have lots of lovelies to play with this month!
ReplyDeleteThx! Hoping to be inspired :~) How about you?
DeleteOh I LOVE this kit. :) You have so much pretty stash!
ReplyDeleteThx! I'm always amazed at the goodies I find when I go looking for my kit each month :~)
Deletemy oh my what a kit! that is so huge and full of so much, I couldn't even take it all in! fabulous and of course, I've seen some of the layouts already so that kit is what i consider to be such a success. you will have to let us know how many layouts this made.
