040121 CKC April Kit Reveal

It's April! And we're not fooling at the Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog about setting down with our sweet Garden Party inspiration kit from Scrapbook Cards Today & pulling your own personal version. Perhaps you'll even make a forgery or two?

That being said, as the April Master Forger of Ceremonies, you are given permission to GO ROGUE! There's no punchline to this April Fool's Day - there are other SCT seasonal kits availabl here so feel free to follow your heart.

But first let's meet our April Guest Designer - you may remember her from February's Follower's Showcase shout-out!

Welcome Cathy Galloway!

Hi! I'm Cathy and I'm excited to be a guest designer this month. I started scrapbooking about 15 years ago but had been on a hiatus for many years when the pandemic started. During my enforced time at home, I chanced upon some scrapbook process videos on YouTube that inspired me to dig back into my stash. One year later, I am still going strong. Most of my scrapbook pages are 12x12 and often feature my daughter and grandson. I prefer scrapping daily life over occasions and my pages include tearing, layering, and stamping. I am looking forward to creating this month with this wonderful community of crafters.

Now let's go crash my Happy Days version of the Garden Party kit...

111515 Frosty Festivities 2015 at Jennifer Grace Creates

Well, hi there!
So glad you hopped on by for the 2015 Frosty Festivities Blog Hop!

http://jennifergracecreates.com/announcing-frosty-festivities-2015-a-giveaway/#comment-12276

Jennifer has challenged us to put our creative elf caps on & give you
something wonderful to inspire you to create for the upcoming season.
Personally? I'm a big fan of easy to make but packs a punch...

I wanted  to add a new element to my mantel this year.
I saw a lot of cute ideas for ways to dress up clear glass ball ornaments
but I ultimately decided to simply stuff them with gold & white elements!

Hanging glittered snowflakes, gold tinsel, sections of a feathered boa & gold jingle bells peek out of these glass ornaments.
Tied onto a wide ribbon of dreamy tulle they add the perfect bit of interest that demands a closer look.

If you check on my Christmas Pinterest Board you can find other ideas for these ornaments.

Be it Christmas, New Year or winter, decking your halls or your hair, capturing the memories or finding new traditions, I hope we have given you some new directions for your creativity.

And just in case everything you've seen so far this month & will see today on the hop isn't inspiring enough? Jennifer Grace is giving away this PRIZE PACK of a Lawn Fawn stamp set and more - enter to win by commenting on all the blogs in the Frosty Festivities 2015 hop! The giveaway closes on Sunday the 6th of December at 10pm GMT, and is open internationally.

Make sure that you don't miss any of the stops on the hop today!

110115 CKC November Counterfeit Kit, "Mum's the Word"

More twists & turns this month at Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog.

The Master Forgers have collaborated on our own add-on kit.
Tomorrow we will share the complet list of what we included,
but each forger's kit reveal will showcase their chosen add-on item.

November's inspiration to forge is once again not actually a kit!
This time it is the August release "Cedar Lane" collection from Pink Paislee.

I really love this color scheme, so I set out to troll my stash.
I'm not interested so much this month in a close match for my papers.
In fact, I only have one forgery & the rest are loosely based on the inspiration.

Let's open up the Magic Blue Box & see what other goodies I've gathered up for

A custom stamp set, some cute little bow clips, a nice scatter of gold embellis & diecut arrows...

...flair, diecut tags,  Crate Paper puffy stickers & K&Company clips

...an assortment of washi tape, and some really old MME brads.

This month I've got a rather large selection of alphas,
along with a sheet of Maggie Holmes chipboard and an assortment of dies & stamps.

As always I reserve the right to dip into my stash as I use up this scrappilicious supply of goodies!
As I mentioned at the beginning of this post, the Master Forgers
have each selected an item for a custom Design Team Add-On kit this month!

I hope you are inspired to sift through all those sensational scrappy supplies in your stash and make up your own counterfeit kit forgery! Help those once-loved yet abandoned misfit goodies find their way to the light of day on your November pages & projects.

Enjoy the rest of the hop!

072415 CKC July Members Blog Hop

Next to our inspiration kit reveal, I think this is my favorite post of the month.
It's the time for YOU to shine at Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog!

Our challenges this month were:

Challenge #1: Use at least four photos on your project.

Challenge #2: Dust off an old tool and get creative.

Challenge #3: Include an altered embellishment

I settled on Challenge #1 for the hop.
My forged lace paper (on the right) was the base.

I used assorted circle punches to mock up where the photos would go...

We have been videotaping in the woods with a trail cam,
and have enjoyed capturing some of the wild life in photos.

Now hop on to Gabrielle!
