It is no crime to create your own version of the trendy,
hip products from the inspiration kit using your own stash & ingenuity.
I took the month of August off & my creativity was in full swing for kitting.
Papers first - mine on the left, theirs on the right:
Anonymous paper, dressed up with tickets, a stamp & a punched border.
Vicki Boutin Kaleidoscope/Side Note
An ancient Amy Tangerine paper to get inky with.
Cocoa Vanilla Studio Boys Rule/Messed Up
Got to use up a bit of that cardstock I've hoarded! Cut, paste, glue.
Vicki Boutin Kaleidoscope/Kaleidoscope
Embellishment assortment - mine on top, theirs on the bottom.
I had fun making up the pocket cards & using my star & arrow dies.
The counterfeit flair was easy peasy with Felicity Jane stamps plus circle punches.
Fussy cut view master paper plus a few old forgeries helped round out my collection.
FYI: My version of color a la the Vicki Boutin elements is courtesy of October Afternoon.
That Crate Paper Cool Kid 6x6" pad helped with a lot of the above.
I can't figure out how to discuss the process with all of these so feel free to ask!
I hope you find ways to craft your favorite elements.
Here's what we have coming up:
- September 6th:
We'll reveal a couple of mini-kits and projects, in case you're a
little limited for time this month and would prefer a more petite kit.
- September 12th & 18th: We'll give you two challenges to help you use the kit you've made.
- September 24th: I'll be showcasing one of the CKC community who's caught my eye this month
- September 30th: We'll be offering another installment in our {Killing Kits} series to help you find ways to use up all of your kit.
We always love to see your work, so please share your kits and projects with us.
You can use our Monthly Link-up page, post them in our Facebook Community, or share them on Instagram (we are @counterfeitkitchallenge or tag us using #counterfeitkitchallenge and #ckcseptember2019).
