Psalms 40:2-3 He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings. And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD.

031822 CKC March Challenge #2 - What Makes You Happy?
Master Forger of Ceremonies Tara found another inspiration kit element to prompt us for this challenge!
For this challenge, I am taking the cue from one of the papers that says Happy Happy Happy. I want you to create a layout about something or someone that makes you happy!!
Most of my memory keeping is about people, but while assembling my counterfeit kit (aha moment) I kept running across embellishments that made me think of things that make me happy! Voila
I must admit that my mind is yearning for Spring to arrive & manifest. Shall we play a game? See how quickly you can spot everything on my list:
Citrus fruit, delicious food, banners, seeing smiles, warmer weather, tiny alphas, photos, a lovely day, travel, coffee, scripty words, periwinkle, grungy papers, the return of birdsong, telling stories, sewing, just being outdoors doing nothing, and creative play.

031222 Kraft+ March Challenge - Framed!
Kraft Plus March Challenge |
I really love the challenge here every month! Keeping the emphasis on kraft makes my supplies shine in a whole new way and the gallery is always amazingly inspiring.
I had so many thoughts from the mood board. I actually own some tiny colored frames like the bottom left photo - they were very tempting! I have a gallery wall that I could have documented. I finally settled on using a border punch to create filmstrip frames!
What to document? My daughter has been on new cooking program & sends me photos all the time. This time I got this food photo
followed by this photo, taken when she turned around at the stove.
I LOLed!
I remembered a pack of tiny cartoon doggie stickers in my stash & they were the perfect size for the filmstrip frames. Yay! I then went in search of a colorful backing paper. Done. I knew which alphas I wanted for my big title & thankfully I had 2 sets.
I added some lazy stamping in lieu of stitching. An X through the dog food dish makes things in the girls' minds pretty clear, but the sentiment, " Focus on what's important - be open to whatever comes next" sums it up nicely! I added a couple of rather amateurishly done wax seal dog prints for a final accent.
Can't wait to see what comes up in the gallery! Give it a go, won't you?

031222 CKC March Challenge #1 - Life Unfiltered
Master Forger of Ceremonies Tara has taken a clever inspiration from a kit element for this first challenge.
I am taking this challenge from the piece of ephemera with the phrase No Filter Needed. I want to challenge you to do a layout of your life unfiltered. Find the beauty in the mess.
Well, I did it again - I went rogue... My page documents something "filtered" about home - coffee!
I started off selecting the 2017 PinkFresh Dream On/Marvel paper with the little houses on it, thinking it would be a page themed about home.
I included the 2017 Pink Paislee Pick Me Up #19 paper remnant for the fanciful frames, so I wanted to use those, popped up with foam for some dimension.
I had created the little cluster bottom right before I had my page completely planned out & it was perfect! I "hung" my pictures and sprinkled a few very old vellum prior forgeries on the home section (stars & butterflies). The background 2021 Cocoa Vanilla Sunkissed/Feelin' Fine paper is a bit bold but the whole page captures how happy I feel when I greet the day with that pot of java.
Can't wait to see how Tara's prompt inspired you to find the beauty in the mess of documenting your No Filter Needed life. And don't forget what's coming up later this month!
