Well, technically this is my LOAD Day 3 layout, but inspiration was late coming on this prompt. I finally opted to scraplift another page from the gallery that was r/w/b.

The hidden journaling tag says:
I never was much of an athlete, but in my freshman year of high school I played Powder Puff softball. I was so bad they stuck me out in right field :~)  The only ball ever hit to me I actually caught! I was so excited I jumped up & down screaming, I got it! I got it! Everyone else was jumping & screaming, too, but  it turned out to be only the second out & the others on base all scored - so much for my big moment...

I can remember this moment like it was yesterday. The team even won a trophy although I don't remember why! It's probably in my attic - wow - that's a scary thought...

Storm clouds moving in...

Our weather here in mid-Michigan today was comparable to Miami, Florida, including the humidity (ugh.) This storm system was a welcome sight as the temp has already dropped almost 20 degrees (whew.)

LOAD Day Three: use holiday color scheme unconventionally...
No inspiration has struck yet, so it may be a late night!

LOAD Day Two: no photo

I was reminded to tell this story by this little embellishment bought recently on clearance as part of a Valentine set.

We were 19 & 20 when we married and had no money for a honeymoon. We lived in South Florida so decided to take a day trip to Key West. Back in those pre-digi days I don't even think we owned a camera! For whatever reason we have no photos of this trip, but a fun memory of a day spent together driving the Overseas Highway (pictured is Seven Mile Bridge.)

Here is, as they say, the rest of the story:

Fun to remember!

And compliments of my scrappy friend www.sassyscrapper2010.blogspot.com here is a link to a great tutorial for non-photo layouts:  http://debbiehodge.com/2011/09/the-art-of-photo-less-scrapbooking/

Happy scrapping!

LOAD Day One: self portrait

Okay, I know this is a freaky photo, but the other options were even stranger:

I got these in the $1 bin at Michael's for the Grammaw's play trunk but as I don't really like photos of me I thought I would turn the tables on Lain & make this tongue-in-cheek layout. If I hadn't been trying so hard to get the photo I might have been smiling behind that mask!
