040122 CKC April Kit Reveal & Blog Hop

Aaah, Spring!

Let's begin with an introduction of Master Forger of Ceremonies Lisa's inspiring Guest Designer choice:

I'm beyond delighted to have Helen (DeRam) join us this month as our Guest Designer. She's amazingly talented and we have discovered a mutual obsession love of all things BasicGrey during our time together over at the Simple Scrapper Creative Team. Master Forger of Ceremonies Lisa describes her April inspiration kit choice as follows:

You know how I like to try out new kits so off I went for some inspiration looking through the kit clubs listed on our blog. Papers and Beyond is new for me and I really liked what I saw. When I took a closer look at the Follow Your Bliss kit, I knew it was the right one for us this Easter month. A mix of funky Vicky Boutin and pretty Jen Hadfield, this American Crafts kit felt like a splash of spring with a lot of potential for gorgeous kits with possible forgeries sprinkled right in there! I hope you like it as much as I do.

I ended up with a slightly more earthy palette but otherwise quite true to much of the inspiration. I slipped in that black striped transparency scrap as a nod to the original b/w patterned paper version. I'm thinking I may do a mini-book of some sort.
