100121 Archi-scraps October Challenge

It's a sketch challenge!

Another changeup to the Archi-scraps challenge - use a "blueprint".

This seemingly simple sketch read a whole lot more interesting when I applied my scrapbooking motto: Let the patterned paper do the work! All of the pattern & texture & layers provide a lot of eye candy. I love how light & bright & happy my birthday page turned out.

Will be watching to see everyone's creations over at the Archi-scraps Community Group!

Thanks for stopping by!

091821 CKC September Challenge #2 - Falling for You!

Master Forger of Ceremonies Tina is looking forward to the change of seasons:

Over here in the states Fall seems to be a huge thing! Pumpkins, apples, old farm trucks especially with decor, you can see it starting to pop up everywhere. So with that in mind use the colors of Fall in your area of the world to help you with your creation

Fall Colors Challenge

My secret inspiration:

September ACOT (A Cherry on Top) Mood Board challenge

Must keep to the soft teal, greys & browns color scheme + three additional inspirations from the mood board. I got a lot more ideas from the board: sequins, butterflies, nature, the dreamy landscape that begged to be interpreted in mixed media (not mine, but a Somerset Studio freebie in my kit), the dry leaf, the framed artwork, faceted beads, and the little blue bowl. (You may have noticed there are no "traditional" Fall colors.)

I just love how much mood & texture there is, plus I managed a pop of Fall color in my photo.

My first idea (which led to my second layout) was an irresistibly clever play on words in Tina's title, Falling for You! I had these photos ready to scrap & managed to pull supplies from my kit that were perfect for a second take on the prompt.

Will be watching for your projects!
Finish out the month with us:

091221 CKC September Challenge #1 - Transportion Inspired

Master Forger of Ceremonies Tina let her love of tractors inspire her first September challenge!

My love for antique tractors is producing this challenge! What do we usually see in the fall other than falling leaves is hay wagon rides and such, well they are usually pulled by a tractor so your challenge is to make a layout about any type of transportation: tractor, car, bike, plane, etc.

So today use Transportation for your creative inspiration!

And what could be more natural, more basic, than feet?

What a great twist on the challenge!

That's my Cooper <3 in the middle #grammalove

Can't wait to look at what you are inspired to create! Don't forget the rest of the month:
  • 18th September: Challenge #2 - to inspire you to get creating from your own kit
  • 24th September: Follower Showcase - who has caught our eye this month
  • 31st September: Killing Kits - an idea or two for using up the bits & pieces left in your kit box

You KNOW that we always love to see your work, so please share your kits and projects with us. You can post them in our Facebook Community, or share them on Instagram (we are @counterfeitkitchallenge or tag us using #counterfeitkitchallenge and #ckcseptember2021).
