072713 Date Day

Started the day out right being squired to breakfast by my darling DH!

Then we headed to the farm store for chicken supplies
but look what was happening there!
 John Deere green is irresistible!

Love that this old Ford tractor looks like a hot rod!
 The plaque made me cry...
 How CUTE are these?
(next time we bring the pickup truck...)
Later this afternoon we are out to the Kruger's farm to pick up our new "girls"!
So excited to have fresh eggs again...
Hey! Don't run off with my harem!
These are up for grabs - wish I had room!
 Said hullo to the sheep.
The big brown one said hullo back in a deep bass voice, lol!
 Barn swallow - lovely.
Karen & John make the catch.
Greg hangs onto the first of five.
 The new deluxe accommodations!
 Welcome home, girls.
 Quick stop at Home Depot.
Lila patiently waiting for Grampa.
 Final stop of the day?
Dairy Queen for a Georgia Mud Fudge Blizzard - yum!

072413 New Page, New Post

Well, you never know what you will unearth when you straighten up your happy scrappy place!
I am always inspired by the Whimsical Musings weekly prompts.
I usually get an idea pretty quick, but depending on what else is on my schedule I don't always get to it right away.

I tried to use a few Project Life-style fillers for the empty spaces.

Some decorated snowflake sequins on vellum...

... vellum shaker pocket with sequins...

...and a scrummy piece of wool plaid w/flair on vellum

The vellum would have looked great in a see-through page protector!
Glad to knock a few more prompts off my catch-up list.
Thanks, Pam & Lisa for inspiring me!

TOTAL GENIUS!
Who could help but be uber-inspired?
And being the over-achiever that I can sometimes be,
I set out to lift THEM ALL!

Let's just take them in the order they appear above...

Angela's page inspired me with the gorgeous yellow patterned cross in the background.
I knew I had what I thought was a large rub-on design that was similar.
Turned out it was an iron-on so I grabbed some Ranger Sticky Back Canvas.

Ahhh! I just noticed I have the word "this" on there twice! Easily fixed...

Next up is Ashley's page.

This was a really simple inspiration as I had made a paper for my kit out of chevron washi!

On to Dawn!

The banner...the twine..the layers...
just made me happy!

Jemma's clever circles were perfect...

...with this TOTALLY ADORABLE photo of Chloe!

Julene inspired me to hunt up my modeling paste...

...especially helpful as my kit was pretty lean at this point!
(Isn't my Prima stencil lovely?)

LesleyG had a page that I thought would be great for the bottom of the Magic Blue Box.

Had to grab the chevron paper from my stash, and isn't it perfect with this photo?

Lisa has been inspiring me for almost 3 years now!

This page is perfect for Chloe's first birthday retrospective.
The kit was totally wrong for my page, but I used the red polka dot washi & the kraft.

Lynnette,'s pages are always impeccable, and I could have chosen almost any one to lift!

This one was tailor-made for these photos of Lincoln.

Milissa had this huge circular element on her page background...

...that I turned into a star.

Stephanie's page was just the right thing for Lincoln's first homemade popsicle.

WHEW! That was PERFECT to help me scrap my way through my kit this month!

Now go check in with MAGGIE for some more inspiring scrappy goodness :~)

072013 Family Time

Although we got together to celebrate El's 26th birthday,
I don't have one photo of the birthday girl or the cake!
But I DO have some of the grands, hehe!
Spent the evening hanging out on the porch...

A very good day :~)
