010813 January Counterfeit Kit Tutorials

A few fun CKC forgeries this month! These dots looked easy enough...

I liked the translucent quality of the original, so I thought I'd use watercolor. The eraser end of a pencil was just perfect as a rubber stamp, although it was quite tedious...

I didn't get as dense of coverage, but I think it is festive enough for a New Year's page!

On close inspection of the chevron paper it turned out to be music in the background.

At first I thought about creating a stencil so that I could put a white mist over patterned paper,
but I took the easy way out and stamped a music note background stamp on chevron paper.

This was my favorite!

 Theirs.  Mine!

(I had to use hairspray to fix the pencil, lol!)

Martha Stewart glitter rocks!

    1. My first thought was to pull out a lot of frame stamps, but the ones I have weren't going to give me the look I wanted...
So, I just sat in front of the telly with it on my computer screen & copied it with a pencil!
I did the basic shapes first & then added in the details. Haven't sketched in a long time.
I decided not to obsess about it being perfect & to just enjoy the process - it was really fun!

  5. WOW! I am impressed with the frame paper. I think I might have a big chevron stencil and was thinking of spraying over a patterned paper. Should go get organised now while I have a few minutes and get off the computer! LOL
