020115 CKC February Kit Reveal

Greetings, diehard hoppers!

If you've hung in this long you have enjoyed oodles of fabulously
inspiring forgeries from the Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog Design Team.
Just this last post & you can get down to business, sifting & sorting through
your stash for all the perfect elements to build your own amazing counterfeit kit.

Welcome to our special Guest Designer, the renowned Doris Sander!
I spent a lovely evening getting to know her through her blog posts.

You've probably already seen it once or twice, but here's February's kit:

Scrapbook.com "Across the Miles"

The spectacular gilded vellum map is certainly the showstopping star of this kit!
Let's open up the Magic Blue Box & see my own translation.

My version just makes me so happy!
February is a great month for a bright & playful kit.

I laid out my papers in the same order as the inspiration kit,
with a small strip of my B sides showing at the top of each.

But where did all that color come from, you may ask?
And where is that gilded map??? (Patience, grasshopper :)

This yummy central paper of card cutouts is meant to sub for the
cards in the original, but I won't cut into it until I want a specific piece.

A few close-ups:

Papers - theirs, then mine:

(Look for a tut of how I dress up the right hand paper.)

The pop of red is for the cardstock
and a nod to the map paper, plus a
little teaser for the tuts post on the 4th :)

Now - let's see what YOU've got!
And if you missed anyone, get back to hopping...

  4. There is a balance practicality and visual delights to your kits and this one is no exception. Reminds me of the mantra, "keep only that which is useful and beautiful" I can already imagine the layouts of Chloe that will use the little girls dress pattern paper. Oh so cute!
