030119 CKC March Forgeries

Counterfeit Kit Challenge
It is no crime to create your own version of the trendy,
hip products from the inspiration kit using your own stash and ingenuity.

I have forged two items this month - the brush script paper

& a dimensional version of  the pinwheel stamp.

The paper was easy-peasy with my Ranger/LetterIt Celebration clear stamp set.
I just repeated the entire sheet in columns, being sure to start off the page in all directions & to begin every other column at another point on the stamp set.

.
The pinwheels were cut from 1-1/2" squares, then cut diagonally halfway towards the center from each corner. I folded each corner to the center as shown. (Whatever size you need takes up the same visual space as the size of your square.)

I wanted to see the patterned paper so flipped them over to make a solid pinwheel, hiding the "flaps". Buttons sewed into the center gave me the look I was going for - very springy! These would be really cute from double-sided papers to reveal both patterns. I would suggest using 6x6" paper pads as the scale is smaller & would translate well.

Oh, I do love the forging almost as much as the memory keeping!
Hope you are inspired.
Thanks for stopping by!

  1. So clever! Always the "Master" Forger. I love your stamped paper and the pin wheel is super cute and works well how you have them so that they are not so dimensional! Clever, clever.

  2. Leslie: 2 great ideas for copy-cats to include in March kit! The bold curvy script paper replicate is probably my favorite!
