080313 Date Day Saturday

Well, this time it was an eeeeaarrrrllyyyy one...

Yes, that's the moon, upper left!

Fuel for the pilot - copilot will be napping...

Dawn...

Almost to the Michigan Bird & Game Breeders Association swap meet,
at Yoder's Blacksmith Shop - open daybreak until noon...
 Poor little finches are cold!

I was afraid to look inside! These rheas are going to need a chiropractor...

 Lovely duckies...

Turkeys (as fresh as they get!) & geese...can you say Thanksgiving & Christmas dinner?

 Beautiful chickens - tempting!

 Young golden pheasants, I believe...

I fell in love with those big, brown eyes...what a little sweetie...

This pair of sandhill cranes did a flyover.
I could only imagine them saying,
Nyah-nyah! We're flying freee-eeee!

Silky chickens - can't tell which end we are looking at, lol!

 Fancy pigeons...

 Mystery guest?

 What an ingenious carrier design!

 Isn't he gorgeous?

Clare, Michigan - Amish country...

Headed home for breakfast at Bob Evans, buy one get one free!
And a few little things I spied in the garden today...

I love moss - it's like a whole little world in there, and this is only about the size of a quarter!

Beautiful berries that the cedar waxwings will enjoy in the spring...

Echinacea - I love how the immature seeds look like they are lit up...

Beautiful black-eyed susans - this photo is not post-processed...

 A favorite color combo...

 Welcome visitor...

Enjoying this stunning periwinkle globe thistle...

A few hours of garden clean-up, a little lemonade break on the porch, a trip to the Family Farm & Home store with a detour to Dairy Queen for a late lunch - great date day!
