020116 CKC February Counterfeit Kit Reveal

Now that I've had my annual quiet & peaceful January refresh,
I am itching to get up to my happy place & scrap!
I love how painless tackling some pages is when using my Counterfeit Kit.

And speaking of
L - O - V - E
let's not forget that it's February, the
  L - O - V - E
month!

The fab & very exclusive February kit from our UK scrapbuddy, Emma Clark, at

http://www.mindthescrap.co.uk/

yielded some wonderful opportunities to commit some forgeries.
Let's see what's in the Magic Blue Box this month!

First the inspiration kit papers -
a combination of Amy Tan's "Better Together"  & Maggie Holmes's "Bloom" lines.

Now mine:

I chose to do both the "A" & "B" sides to give me a little more paper to work with.
Row 1: *Glitz Uncharted Waters, *October Afternoon Public Library, Pebbles Jen Hadfield, *Glitz Love You Madly
Row 2: forged fringe paper, forged text paper, Shimelle hearts, unknown scrap
Row 3: navy construction paper, blue Bazzill w/Color Shine added, bookpaper

*I included these 8x8" paper pads in my kit.

Here is the full International Romance kit:

Most of the extras in my kit are supplies I have hoarded - ahem - COLLECTED
from my monthly Felicity Jane kits. I have the rest of my FJ stash in reserve.
I thought the brushstroke card was a perfect stand-in for the transparency.

I also put together what I am calling my tool kit - literal tools like stamps, punches,
fringe scissors & a gold pen - along with Maggie Holmes "Open Book" chipboard.
A few more things could make their way in before the month is out!

A collection of alphas, including a stamp set, and I am ready to scrap.

I know it looks like a lot of product, but this month is a LOAD month, aka LayOutADay.
Although this is Lain Ehman's final LOAD the members at ScrapHappy are continuing the tradition.

I've already made my first layout with this kit for the February Archi-scraps challenge!

Now follow along with the rest of the hop.
You know that Lisa will once again have put together a stunner of a kit.
The Team hopes to see YOUR own custom-made kits in the Linky soon!

  1. Wowza that's a big kit! I decided to join in with LOAD this month at the last minute last night, so it will be fun using up the backlog of kits that I have in my scraproom, and seeing some familiar faces in the process.

  2. Your kit is gorgeous by the way-especially love that fringe paper! I thought about counterfeiting it too, but then I couldn't resist and ordered it. But I think I like yours better!

  3. This is huge and oh so pretty, right down to those branding strips you included. And it definitely has variety, as I didn't recognize that layout as having come from that kit!

  9. I#m swooning! What a gorgeous kit and I'm envious that you still have a sheet of that gorgeous Glitz paper - that was one of my favourites in recent years! A perfect counterfeit of the original and full of counterfeiting as I have come to expect from you! Totally awesome and fabulous! Wow. Cant wait until the fourth - I'm not sure I have the patience to make those fringed items but I'm excited to see how you did them!

  10. Oh my...how that Glitz papers subs so well for the original. You really captured the vibe here and your forgeries (which I know will be formally revealed on the 4th) are superb. I know this kit has and will serve you well. YOU are on fire!!! xoxo

  11. Magnificent. You are locked and loaded! The first layout so poignant. As parents we are always hurrying children along. Can't wait until they can brush their teeth. Can't wait until they can tie their shoes. And then we become grandparents and that all changes overnight. Now we try to slow down those precious first years. Mom and Dad chastise me as i help the school age child with their coat, or their seat belt. I tell them be quiet. I am "grammaing."

  12. What a delightful (and big) kit! I loved your layout when I saw it but didn't want to play favourites in front of the others. All those hearts and pinky tones will make this great to use.
