020120 Archi-scraps February Challenge

Archi-scraps romantic February inspiration. Use flourishes plus the colours.
First, I settled on these photos:

Then I used my February CKC kit (to be revealed tomorrow) to create my page.

Details on my product choices are in my reveal blog post tomorrow.

There's my flourish!

I think I managed the colour chip quite well!

011820 CKC January Challenge #2

"We know that you all love a good sketch and Page Maps (www.pagemaps.com) has been giving us awesome designs for over 13 years, so of course that's where I went to find a great January sketch for us this month.

Take this sketch and make it your own!"

I've tipped the sketch over (like so) as I preferred the horizontal orientation.

I combined the strip & the fiber elements into a torn patterned paper sewn down & embellished with an assortment of words, a bow plus star stickers & enamel dots.

I used each strip to feature a different random holiday decor in our home this year.

I love that there is room for a little comment. I'm often not too great at including the story.

I really wanted to get those little pink alphas on this page!

We always love to see your work, so please share your kits and projects with us.
You can use our Monthly Link-up page, post them in our Facebook Community, or share them on Instagram (we are @counterfeitkitchallenge or tag us using #counterfeitkitchallenge and #ckcjanuary2020).

011220 CKC January Challenge #1

CKC January Challenge #1

"It's the New Year and a time to think about the classic saying
"out with the old and in with the new"!

Your challenge today is to check through your kits to identify the NEWEST and OLDEST items in there, and then use both of them on your project. Don't forget to let us know just how old these products are! Let's see who's got the longest time difference!"

My oldest item is a sheet of BasicGrey 2007 Aged&Confused/Phresh&Phunky paper, and my newest the silver snowflake tissue paper.

Frankly this isn't my favorite page I've ever made. It's kind of ironic that the newest item, I'm afraid, turned out a little TOO "Phunky", and the oldest looks "Phresh", LOL!

I do love all the shiny gold bits, though.

Can't wait to see your creative challenge results!

And of course, don't forget that we'll be back throughout the month to give you some tips, ideas and challenges as you put together and use your kit.

Here's what we have coming up this month:
  • January &18th:  We'll give you one more challenge to help you use the kit you've made.
  • January 24th: I'll be showcasing one of the CKC community who's caught my eye this month
  • January 30th: We'll be offering another installment in our Killing Kits Series to help you find ways to use up all of your kit.

We always love to see your work, so please share your kits and projects with us. You can use our Monthly Link-up page, post them in our Facebook Community, or share them on Instagram (we are @counterfeitkitchallenge or tag us using #counterfeitkitchallenge and #ckcjanuary2020).

01012020 CKC January Kit Reveal

I don't know about you but I am always ready to snuggle in & set my scissors flying in January! Lisa has chosen a lively wintery/holiday-ish kit with lots of sparkle & charm for us to start the year at CKC.

Citrus Twist Kits - Christmas Stories 2019
But first let's welcome January's Guest Designer, Melodee Ruley!

"Hi from Kentucky! I am thrilled to be January’s guest designer, but I was nervous about it since I am technologically challenged 😂. I hope that I contribute something positive to this group of wonderful scrappy ladies. I started scapbooking in 2002 when a coworker started selling CTMH. I made a mother daughter theme album as a surprise for my daughter’s 30th birthday. I have about 18 on going albums since every family member has their own. Scrapbooking is my decompression time! I want to thank everyone for their inspiration and I hope everyone has fun this month!"
Shall we take a peek at what I've thrown together this month?
Merry January

I am planning on having a lot of fun with this kit in January. I hope you are inspired to have a little rummage & pull a kit. Remember that there are a lot of features here at CKC throughout the month (shown below) to help you use your goodies. Remember, you bought them - probably because you liked them - and they long to be shown off & used up to make room for more!

Keep hopping to get more inspiration from the Master Forgers.
You know that we LOVE it when you share!
