I belong to a group of the happiest scrapbookers on the internet at ScrapHappy! Our fearless leader, Lain Ehmann, brings a distinguished resume along with a fab sense of fun. A recent project was a "cookbook" made from a list of 25 memories that must be scrapped. Each prompt was tackled by two different members. What a wonderful group of layouts was generated - each unique & creative.
Not one to keep the good stuff to ourselves, Your Story Matters is now available as an e-book! The introductory price is $7, but if you purchase before midnight on 1/21/13 and use the coupon code HOP you save $2!
And what a thrill - I am now a published scrapper!
Just another benefit of the association with this wonderful community of talented scrappers who are generous with their praise & inspiring with their pages.
My prompts were as follows:
View From the Porch
The One Lesson I Wish I'd Known When I Was 18

Lovely Leslie! I really do love that view from the porch page. The journaling adds just the right touch!
ReplyDeleteI really like your take on the layout that you did on things that you wish you'd known when you were 18. It is a beautiful layout and all the things that you wish you'd known I can relate too!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to have your view! Even though mine isn't as great as yours, I think it's something that should be documented, as well as life lessons - so great!
ReplyDeleteI LOVe the "I'd recognize it" photo at ton. Ahhhh...
ReplyDeleteSo proud to be a part of all of this with you Leslie!
ReplyDeleteLove your quilted/patchworks scrapbook page! Gorgeous! And the sentiments, too. I commented on Lain's post that my own story and the my children's young years are especially important to document.
ReplyDeleteI love your layouts. What great things to document for your children. I believe all my stories and those of my children are most important to document. Fears are also important but we rarely document them.
ReplyDeleteI don't have one of these accounts to sign on with...not very web-savvy, so I'll try anonymous but sign my name - hope that works.
ReplyDeleteI especially loved the layout with the list - never occurred to me to use one of my many lists as the basis of a page about ME (or anyone else for that matter). Thanks for sharing and giving us a chance to win the book. Libby Wiers
So true documenting the things while fresh in your minds is key. Thanks for such beautiful layouts.
ReplyDeleteLove your One Lesson page...exactly what I would have said and I like the 70's vibe I got too!

DeleteI would have to say the house you grew up in. I'm getting teary-eyed just thinking about our house and Miranda Lambert's song, "The House That Built Me."
ReplyDeleteI just adore both of these layouts - certainly worthy of publication! Congrats GF!
ReplyDeletewow. your layout about " The One Lesson I Wish I'd Known When I Was 18 " is so true to my life. i wished i had known some things to so that mistakes and plunders could have been avoided. Thank you for sharing and being an inspiration. I should definitely start scrapping about things like this. It would definitely be great to look back upon.
ReplyDeleteLove your pages! Really cute and great response to the prompts!
ReplyDeleteLove the different styles of your pages! What an awesome view from the porch! Great to have been part of this with you Leslie!
ReplyDeleteGreat layouts, and the prompts sound really fabulous as well. I think every scrapper should create a layout with tidbits of info about themselves. I did that a few years ago, and even really good friends were surprised about a few of the things I put on there.
ReplyDeleteI believe every scrapbooker need to always include some feelings and emotions in the journaling of their scrapbooks.
ReplyDeleteGREAT layouts. I am anxious to see this publication!
ReplyDeleteCritical story for every scrapbooker? That's a toughie.
I would have to say any story/event that was a life'defining'
moment would be awesome to document!
I believe every scrapper should scrap something that they are passionate about! If you don't have a passion???? Ask God for it! He will surely give you one and it may just be HIM! Many blessings and congrats on being published.
ReplyDeleteJournaling is a very important part of scrapbooking. Thanks for this opportunity!
ReplyDeleteI think it's important that we all appear in our scrapbooks as subjects of our layouts...not just creatively.
ReplyDeleteLeslie, thank you for sharing your beautiful work. Congrats on being published, too!!
ReplyDeleteI believe that it is import to scrap all of those precious moments that mean so much to us. Thanks for this great opportunity!!
