I enjoyed quite a few of the free trial classes over at
the newly structured Big Picture Classes,
the newly structured Big Picture Classes,
especially Text Tricks by Pam Baldwin, enough so
that I signed up for the monthly membership!

I got some much-needed help with Photoshop Elements.
Adding translucent & painted-out journaling spots and an easy-peasy Polaroid-style photo w/caption. |
I'm using that central swan image as a Project Life-type card for my journaling.
The butterfly was fussy-cut from one of my kit's Project Life-style cards.
I'm sure that Solange has something marvelous waiting! Hop on...

Oh, I love this page. The papers and colors are perfect for the photo. The Text Tricks on the swan photograph are wonderfully placed. The clouds, the banners, the layered embellishment and the fussy cut butterfly all add terrific detail to the great design. A favorite!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Janine! It was fun to learn more about PSE.
DeleteWhat a lovely, tranquil spot and your page definitely carries across that message. The text on the swan photo is very soft and almost dissolves into the water. The butterfly, sun and banners are great embellishments that support the story but don't detract from the beautiful photos. A wonderful page Leslie!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Susan! It really was a peaceful place to stay.
DeleteYou always use innovative color palette, love how this one looks warm and cosy!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Solange! The color decisions are mostly a result of what is in my kit's Magic Blue Box!
DeleteStunning page - I especially love the "sun". Quite nicely done! I have so many classes I need to finish up - thanks for the reminder to do that.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Susanne! That sun gave me fits. On the reverse of the green & black pieces is stamping done with white ink...
DeleteBeautiful page, WOW that must have been some class
ReplyDeleteThanks, Tina! The class was really easy to follow. I even went back again for a refresher when I used it for a subsequent photo edit. At only $10/month I feel I am really getting my money's worth for a wide variety of subjects, and unlike some of the full-blown courses that take a bigger commitment of time I am getting these accomplished & in use!
DeleteCute layout! That butterfly is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI must check out this class. I signed up in the end but am struggling to find the time to actually work on anything. I get to read the handouts and watch (some) videos but that is about it. thanks for the motivation to carry out.
ReplyDeleteYour results are fabulous and you really put that swan photo to perfect use as a journalling card. what a stunning layout. Very you!
Those text tricks look great-I will have to check out that class! And that does look like a beautiful day!
ReplyDeleteWowzers. You have taken three fast giant steps with the text tricks you have learned. I am back here, choking in the dust but cheering you on. Go girl! Go! The background pp is an excellent support to the photos; the roof of the cabin and the "feathers" in the middle. Feeling a little envious here. Used to gaze on your work and wonder "why didn't I think of that" Now it's "how did she do that?" You've moved up a league or two on me. I;ll just paddle away here in the minors and when the rest of the world recognizes how wonderful your work is, I'll get to say, "I knew her when."
ReplyDeleteYou go girl with all your cool tricks! The butterfly looks great too.
