080420 CKC August Forgery on the Fourth

Our inspiration kit:

Hip Kit Club August 2019 main kit
I chose to counterfeit three of the papers & a couple of the cute little frames.

First off is Pink Paislee's Truly Grateful #14 paper.

I used 2015 October Afternoon Summertime "Heat Wave" paper for the geometric background in a similar coloration & added Crate Paper Willow Lane stickers in lieu of the sun icons.

Next Crate Paper's Maggie Holmes Heritage “Genuine” polka dot paper.
Using a base of BasicGrey Fusion "Grape Fizz" I simply added painted polka dots - easy peasy!

Next Vicki Boutin's Wildflowers & Honey "Queen Bee" paper.

Instead of a mixed-media version with sequin waste, I used actual sequins to make the pattern! (It seemed like a good idea at the time...)

Lastly are the counterfeit frames a la Pretty Little Studio's Indian Summer "Timeless" frame pack.
I simply free-handed 2 of their designs, one gold & one black.

Check out the inspiration kit & decide what you love most & then make it!
Then share it with us so that we can be inspired by YOU.
Don't forget to keep checking back for the following can't-miss posts:
  • August 6th: A couple of mini-kits and projects, in case you're a little limited for time this month and would prefer a more petite kit.
  • August 12th & 18th: Two challenges to help you use the kit you've made.
  • August 24th: A showcase of one of the CKC community who's caught our eye this month
