090812 CKC Vintage View Kit

Once again we have a wonderful kit to counterfeit, this time from Birds of a Feather Kit Co.

My main kit papers:

 My add-on papers:

 My goodies:

I used the starburst stamp from last month's kit to counterfeit the buttons.

I drew a small circle around the center of the image using a template from my 1/2" circle punch.
Then another circle using my 1" punch.
(Wish I had a 1-1/4" circle punch - had to freehand cut the final circle, trying to connect the points!)
Then using my Silent Setter I punched the "buttonholes",
then colored in the alternate blocks with white ink to make the pattern.

Now that I look at them together, I may punch them at that 2nd circle...
and oops! there are 4 buttonholes, not 2!

Next the kraft frames.

(I like mine better!)

Then the memorabilia pockets.

And this is what I plan to use for my wire hanger:

It came off of some product packaging & should be perfect.
I have a few more somewhere... hope I can find them!

I have a piece of canvas & eyelets to make my own banner pieces,
plus a few other things that give a nod to some of the papers.
For example, the JB Composition Book stamp & the vintage paper circle.

I am planning to collect a few more bits & bobs to round out my embellis.
And as usual I am giving myself the freedom to choose a white, black or kraft background,
and whatever alphas I decide I want, although I will include one that is similar to the kit.

Now I just need to get busy making pages.
I can't wait to see some of the tutorials that are coming,
especially how to counterfeit those dreamy Jenni Bowlin feathers.
Thanks for looking!
