021819 CKC February Challenge #2

CKC Challenge #2

Your challenge today is to feature feathers on your layout!

This gorgeous Kaisercraft collage paper was perfect for my page featuring the retro typewriter I bough myself for my birthday a few years ago. I had saved the first page I typed when I got it home & used some portions on the page, as well as a quote from a piece of patterned paper in a typewriter font. I fussy-cut a few of the butterflies to overlap the photo & one of the papers.

You may have noticed a problem with my title...sigh...
Can someone tell me why when I buy a pack of $4.99 Thickers they won't stick, but these circa 2000 Rebecca Sower Sticko stickers can't be removed with dynamite?!?

I'm not sure what I'll do about it, because those stickers are PER-FECT for this layout.
Suggestions welcome below!

Hopefully you have plenty of feathers in your kit. If not, check out the Forgery on the Fourth post for some ideas to add to your kit.  Happy scrapping!

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Cut out the word as a strip. Back the hole in layout with paper that blends in the best. (best case scenario, you have another sheet?) Shift your word to the left. Or fussy cut the letters from the strip and reposition. Hope that helps.

    1. Thanks! I decided to add the T at the beginning & just layer the letters over top of the others. When I removed the offending alpha it tore the pattern off the paper (of course) so I did a little mixed media magic, lol! It looks great!

    2. That was my second idea! I just checked in again to share it. Wasn't sure if you had more, enough of the right alphas. How are you doing with LOAD this time around? Hope you have had a blast.
